Devlog #6: Electromagnetic Evolution!
We are CazuelaGames: cstammp, Kechumax, and xner2000. We're developing Biot-Savart, a 2D platformer where you control a robot navigating a high-tech laboratory using electromagnetism to interact with platforms and enemies.
What We Have So Far
Previously, we added background sprites and charged particle effects to enhance visual feedback and immersion.
New Features Added
Background music and dynamic particles:
We added background music to the game. The music helps set the tone and makes the gameplay experience more engaging. We've also improved our particle system — now it's dynamic and responsive to player charge!
Charged Enemy implementation and goal sprite update:
Charged Enemies have been successfully integrated into the game! Additionally, we updated the goal sprite with a new design that better fits the game's aesthetic and makes the end-of-level target more visually distinct.
Levels and bug fixes:
We merged and polished all the content into two refined levels. Lastly, we fixed a large number of bugs — the game is now more stable, and various movement and collision issues have been resolved.
Stay tuned!
